Teachers' Day: UP CM extends greetings, hails educators' role in passing on tradition of knowledge

Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh - Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath extended his best wishes to educators on Teachers Day, recognizing the crucial role teachers play in passing on the state's unique tradition of knowledge to the new generation in a modern context. In a video shared on Instagram, Adityanath highlighted Uttar Pradesh's rich history of knowledge, spirituality, and cultural values, mentioning ancient centers such as Kashi, Sarnath, Ayodhya, Mathura-Vrindavan, and Prayagraj.

He also noted the contributions of 88,000 sages at Naimisharanya, which enriched the Indian tradition of knowledge. The chief minister emphasized that today, teachers are integrating this glorious tradition of knowledge with modern education, technology, and innovation to shape the future of the new generation. Adityanath paid tribute to Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, former President and Bharat Ratna, on his birth anniversary, expressing gratitude to teachers who illuminate the future of the nation with knowledge, values, and character.

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak also posted tributes on X, praising Dr Radhakrishnan's views on education as the foundation for personality development and nation-building.
