PAS tak mahu lagi serah kerusi boleh menang kepada parti lain

Pengarah Pilihan Raya Sanusi Nor does not want PAS to relinquish seats that could be won by other parties. KOTA BHARU: PAS does not wish to give away seats with a potential to be won by other parties during the upcoming election. Sanusi Nor announced that his party will determine which constituencies should be targeted and which can be won by PAS.

We will decide which seats are meant for PAS, which can be won by PAS. We should not hand over those seats to whoever we please. Sanusi said PAS should not be in a situation where its members help other parties, resulting in those parties placing their candidates. He said PAS has been struggling for too long with strengths and support not translating into political power.

People come to him, they are happy. Then the party becomes big, our party small. He becomes a candidate, we become a spectacle. It's over! He said in a firm tone. Don't hide it, he insisted. PAS needs to stop feeling low when discussing with other parties, reminding that PAS has a long political history with a large strength. PAS is now a tiger party.

Suddenly, cats bring two or three kittens, he (PAS) is scared, he said, without naming any party. Don't sit like that cat. The other party is only trying to survive. It is just a body of a two-day party, then sits and invites us. That's not right, he said. On Sunday, PAS President Hadi Awang announced in his keynote speech that PAS wants to retain all the parliamentary seats it won in PRU15, particularly in Kelantan, Terengganu, Kedah, and Perlis, which are referred to as 'the stronghold of the state'.

PAS also targets Pahang, Perak, and Selangor as states that will contribute to its victory during the upcoming elections. In this regard, Sanusi said PAS needs to improve its ability to work with other parties. He cited the recent PRN as an example, stating PAS cannot enter Johor directly, while can enter a little in Negeri Sembilan.

In Melaka, he hoped they would learn to work in coalition with other parties during elections, he said. Concerning the situation in Johor, he strongly criticized PAS for not adding members despite wanting to contest. From several elections in Johor, the people are just sitting there too, he said. There is not much growth! He mentioned that the male population is not increasing either.

Don't sit too much and want seats. Want to contest 15-11? Why go? Sanusi urged PAS to enhance efforts to attract new members and expand branches in Johor, through continuous political work. Not a marriage invitation. Increase PAS branches. Open many more branches. We are not an NGO, we are a political party. Our work is to enter elections. We need our voters. If we only do door-to-door campaigns, go to tabling.
