School Education Department orders inquiry into SGT appointment under Sports Quota in Kurnool district

The Department of School Education in India has launched an investigation into the appointment of Ediga Prabhakar as a Secondary Grade Teacher (SGT-Telugu) under the Sports Quota in Mega DSC-2025 in the Kurnool district. Director Thameem Ansariya revealed that the department had voluntarily taken notice of media reports suggesting irregularities in Mr. Prabhakar’s selection and subsequent posting at MPPS (New), Vallur, in the Kowthalam mandal.

Upon receiving these reports, the Kurnool District Educational Officer initiated an inquiry and requested all pertinent records and verification documents related to Mr. Prabhakar’s selection and appointment. These records are currently being examined as part of a thorough investigation into the case. Subsequent actions will be determined by the authority after receiving and reviewing the inquiry report.

Any corrective measures, if deemed necessary, will be carried out in strict adherence to the applicable recruitment and service rules, stated Ms. Ansariya. She emphasized that the School Education Department is dedicated to upholding transparency, merit-based selection, and integrity throughout the Mega DSC-2025 recruitment process.
