PM Modi recognised the power of sun, followed it & brought its benefits to the people : Union Edu mini Pralhad Joshi at SRCC

Union Education Minister Pralhad Joshi highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recognition of the power of the sun and its transformative impact on India's energy sector. Joshi praised the PM for harnessing solar energy, which has grown from 2.6 gigawatts in 2014 to 165 gigawatts today, underscoring the benefits brought to the country and its people.

The minister also commended SRCC for its 100 years of existence, emphasizing that maintaining the same reputation over such a long period is a significant achievement. Joshi noted that the National Education Policy (NEP) aims to bring innovation to the education system and expand skilling opportunities for young India, highlighting that India is the fastest-growing economy in the world today with a 7.8% growth in the first quarter of 2026.

The minister also highlighted India's growing manufacturing capabilities, with 99% of mobile phones now manufactured domestically and exported. Joshi stressed the importance of a skilled workforce for India to become a global manufacturing hub, emphasizing that energy is crucial for this transformation.
