Navi Mumbai: 10-Year-Old Kalwa Boy Travels Alone To Panvel After Minor Argument, Reunited With Parents

Navi Mumbai witnessed a heartwarming reunion on September 5, 2026, when a 10-year-old boy from Kalwa was found alone on a local train heading to Panvel. The incident began after a minor argument between the child and his mother. The boy, traveling alone, was unable to provide his family's address and appeared hesitant to speak to the police.

After being taken to the Panvel City Police Station by an autorickshaw driver, the child gradually opened up about his origins, which led to a successful search for his parents. The police received crucial updates about the child's whereabouts via WhatsApp messages circulating among Kalwa residents, who alerted the police once they saw the information.

Within an hour, the boy’s parents were alerted and arrived at the Panvel City Police Station around midnight. The boy was safely returned to his parents, who have four children. The family confirmed the boy had gone out to play and was missing since 7 pm before learning he had been found in Panvel.

The police credited constables Vikram Pisal, Ramesh Bhosale, Vinod Deshmukh, and Laxman Shelke for their efforts in tracing the boy’s family and ensuring his safe return.
