Nandyal school alumni honour teachers with unique chariot celebration

Nearly seven hundred and fifty alumni from different classes of Sri Ramakrishna Vidyalayam, Nandyal, came together on Teachers Day to pay tribute to their mentors. The educators were seated on a chariot, while students and admirers pulled it along the streets using ropes. The organisers explained that this was done to convey the message that teachers serve as the charioteers, guiding students on their life's journey.

By pulling the chariot, the alumni expressed their gratitude and acknowledged the crucial role their teachers play in shaping their lives, personalities, and futures. M.V. Sivakumar Reddy, an alumnus of the school and the founder of Mana Ooru-Mana Gudi- Mana Bhadyatha (Our Village, Our Temple, Our Responsibility) organisation, led the initiative. Mr. Reddy and his team cleaned the school two days before the event.
