Greenwood, Guendouzi handed bans after Fenerbahce-Lyon brawl

Fenerbahce's Mason Greenwood and Matteo Guendouzi have been banned following a brawl that erupted after their Champions League match against Lyon. The Turkish team had secured a 2-1 victory in France, advancing 3-2 on aggregate. After the final whistle, the incident involving Greenwood and Guendouzi, who previously played for Lyon's rivals Marseille, led to UEFA's decision to suspend them.

Guendouzi, a former Arsenal midfielder, will miss four UEFA club competition matches due to his actions, including insulting others present at the match, provoking spectators, and violating basic conduct rules. Two of these matches are subject to a one-year probationary period. He has also been fined 50,000 euros ($58,000).

Greenwood, who joined Fenerbahce from Manchester United, received a one-match suspended ban and a fine of 30,000 euros for violating the basic rules of decent conduct.
