Air Force opens season with 431 rushing yards in 34-0 win over Duquesne

Air Force opened their season with a dominant 34-0 victory over FCS opponent Duquesne, totaling a staggering 431 rushing yards. Quarterback Liam Szarka was instrumental in the win, scoring two rushing touchdowns and his teammates collectively contributed 431 yards on the ground. Focused primarily on the ground game, Air Force kept passing to a minimum, with just 19 passing yards from Szarka.

Rocco Conti led the charge with 74 yards on 10 carries, while Kemper Hodges added 72 yards on six attempts. Szarka's passing game was limited, completing only three out of five passes for 19 yards. The Dukes, who are currently 0-1, struggled to move the ball, managing just 54 rushing yards for a total offensive output of 107 yards.

Air Force's performance marks their 20-game winning streak in season openers, the third-longest active streak in the nation. Their record against FCS opponents stands at 31-0. Air Force will next host North Dakota State on Saturday.
