You can now talk to Gemini directly in your Google Docs, Drive, Gmail, and more

Google has unveiled conversational voice features for Workspace apps, allowing users to interact with Gmail, Docs, and Keep through spoken commands. Instead of typing, users can speak to Gemini Audio models, which interpret their intent and retrieve relevant information. This functionality, dubbed "Live," is initially supported in Gmail, Docs, and Keep, with plans for a broader rollout.

For Gmail, users can inquire about flight details or school events by simply speaking their requests, and Gemini will search through emails to find the necessary information. In Docs, users can provide a "brain dump" of their thoughts, and Gemini will organize these ideas into a structured document draft. The company is offering early access to Gmail Live and Keep Live to Google AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra subscribers, with Docs Live limited to Pro and Ultra subscribers.

Business customers are also set to receive these updates soon. Google AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra users can begin conversing with Gmail, Docs, and Keep via voice commands, making work easier and more intuitive.
