Free Gemini access for UAE students: Google AI Plus offered for 12 months

Dubai: The UAE Artificial Intelligence Office has partnered with Google Gemini to provide university students with complimentary access to Google AI Plus for an entire year. This collaboration aligns with the UAE's commitment to equipping students with modern digital skills and preparing them to effectively utilize AI. Omar Sultan Al Olama, the Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, highlighted the proactive approach of UAE leadership in investing in the young generation's knowledge, skills, and opportunities.

The Google AI Plus plan grants students access to various AI tools that aid in study, research, and content creation, such as the Gemini app with its latest AI model and tools for organizing sources, summarizing study materials, and preparing research. The program can be accessed through a provided link and includes AI-supported tools for generating images and videos, as well as Gemini Notebook, which facilitates interactive engagement with academic materials and sources.

Additionally, students will receive 400 GB of storage capacity. To take advantage of this opportunity, students aged 18 and older must register before 31st December 2026. This initiative is part of the AI for All program, which aims to expand access to AI technologies, foster essential skills, and support research across various sectors.
