Ukraine-Krieg: Witkoff und Kushner reisen laut russischer Agentur nach Moskau und Kiew

US negotiators Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are reportedly traveling to Moscow and Kiev, according to an official Russian news agency, Tass. This information was provided by an insider to the Russian agency on Friday. An official confirmation has not yet been made. The insider also stated that the talks about the visit have not been finalized.

The date for the trip to Kiev is expected to be this Sunday. It would be the first visit by the two negotiators to the Ukrainian capital since Russia's full-scale invasion began in February 2022. Russia allegedly tried to prevent the visit to Kiev and is attempting to persuade the US representatives to change their plans. Sources claim that Witkoff and Kushner last visited Moscow in January.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced that he will meet with representatives of US President Donald Trump in the coming days. The envoys will also travel to Russia, marking a new attempt to revive the long-stalled talks. Zelensky wrote on X on Thursday, "We are expecting the US President's envoys in Kiev. They have confirmed they will have a meeting in Moscow and another in Kiev.

We expect the latter to take place in the coming days." Zelensky did not name the names in his post.
