US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are set to visit Russia and Ukraine, according to a report by Russia's Tass news agency. The trip, which may include a stop in Kyiv on Sunday, would be the first visit to the Ukrainian capital since Russia's full-scale invasion in February 2022. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced he would meet with representatives of former US President Donald Trump in the coming days. The US envoys were last in Moscow in January and will also travel to Russia as part of the trip.
