Trump vows to ask Europe for Ukraine aid repayment, denies US running low on arms

Donald Trump, the current US President, announced on Thursday that he will request European nations to reimburse the financial aid provided to Ukraine during the previous administration of Joe Biden. The President has consistently advocated for European countries to contribute more towards the financial burden of supporting Ukraine in its ongoing conflict with Russia, which has been raging for over four years now.

Trump stated on his Truth Social platform that "Hundreds of Billions of Dollars was given to Ukraine and Nato, free of charge, that Europe would have paid for — If they were only asked, but we will be asking for that money, though somewhat belatedly!" The President did not confirm which specific European countries he expected to bear this financial responsibility.

Meanwhile, Trump also dismissed claims that the US military is running short of ammunition in its ongoing war against Iran. According to the President, the US has an "almost limitless supply of Mid to High Grade Ammunition," adding that production levels are higher than ever before. Trump explained that Washington is building up its stockpiles and preparing for potential situations, and has temporarily halted arms sales abroad.

He noted that while the US is retaining these weapons for its own defense, sales to Allies will resume soon again.
