Summit targets solutions for $54bn construction market

The Big 5 Construct Nigeria, Nigeria's largest construction event, will take place at the Landmark Centre from September 22-24, showcasing products and solutions projected to drive a $54 billion construction industry. Over 165 exhibitors from 20 countries will gather, with over 10,000 professionals from various built-environment sectors expected to attend.

The event will feature a range of solutions, including building interiors, concrete, construction tools, personal protective equipment, digital technologies, and more. Nigeria's construction sector is expected to grow by 3.1% in 2026 and maintain an average annual growth of 3.2% between 2027 and 2030. The event's organizers hope continued investments in infrastructure, housing, and industrial development will support this growth and reduce construction costs through the establishment of local manufacturing hubs.

Senior Vice President of dmg events, Josine Heijmans, stated that the exhibition will connect Nigerian construction companies and authorities with international suppliers and industry leaders, fostering knowledge exchange and business relationships to support Nigeria's construction ambitions. The exhibition will attract brands from countries like Germany, India, Spain, Tunisia, and the United Arab Emirates, with featured exhibitors including Saint-Gobain, Sika, Asian Paints, and Bosch.

In addition to product showcases, the event will host Big 5 Talks, featuring over 25 Continuing Professional Development-certified sessions covering topics like sustainable building materials, project management, and green building practices.
