Summit targets solutions for $54bn construction market

Big 5 Construct Nigeria, Nigeria's premier construction event, will showcase a diverse array of products and solutions to support the country's construction industry, projected to reach $54 billion in output by 2025. The sixth edition of the exhibition, scheduled for September 22-24 at the Landmark Centre, will bring together more than 165 exhibitors from over 20 nations, anticipating attendance from over 10,000 professionals in construction-related fields.

The show will feature a wide range of innovations and technologies, including building interiors and finishes, concrete and cement, construction tools, personal protective equipment, digital construction technologies, and more. Nigeria's construction sector is expected to grow by 3.1% in 2026 and achieve an average annual growth rate of 3.2% from 2027 to 2030, driven by continued investments in infrastructure, housing, and industrial development.

The Federal Government's initiative to establish Building Materials Manufacturing Hubs nationwide, as part of the Renewed Hope Agenda, will bolster local production and supply chains, helping to reduce construction costs.

Organizers of Big 5 Construct Nigeria believe that the event will facilitate connections between Nigerian construction companies and international suppliers and industry leaders, fostering the exchange of knowledge and business relationships essential for the country's construction ambitions. The exhibition will draw brands from countries like Germany, India, Spain, Tunisia, and the United Arab Emirates, with notable exhibitors such as Saint-Gobain, Sika, Asian Paints, Bosch, and Uniflo.

Attendees can also look forward to Big 5 Talks, featuring over 25 Continuing Professional Development-certified sessions on various topics, such as project delivery, digital adoption, cost management, and sustainable building practices.
