Security Forces eliminate 12 terrorists in Kalat District

Security forces carried out an intelligence-based operation in Balochistan’s Kalat district on Wednesday, resulting in the killing of 12 terrorists, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). The operation targeted individuals linked to the Indian proxy group Fitna al Hindustan, a designation made by the Pakistani state to underscore India's alleged involvement in terrorism and destabilization in Pakistan.

The terrorists' hideout was swiftly identified, monitored, and neutralized through prompt and surgical action, leading to the death of all 12 Indian-sponsored terrorists. Additionally, a cache of ammunition and improvised explosive devices were destroyed during the operation.

In the aftermath of the raid, sanitization operations were initiated to eliminate any remaining Indian-sponsored terrorists in the area. The ISPR announced that a robust counter-terrorism campaign, known as "Azm-i-Istehkam," would continue unabated to eradicate the threat of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.

This operation follows a recent uptick in terrorist activities in Balochistan, including a coordinated attack by Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) on the Customs House in Pishin district on the night of August 31-September 1. While security forces successfully killed 10 TTP terrorists in the firefight, two officers and six others were martyred.

On the same day, another 11 members of Fitna al-Hindustan were eliminated after they blocked the N-40 Quetta-Taftan highway with an illegal checkpoint for extortion purposes.
