DP Kindiki: UDA is the real deal, with a solid plan for present and future

Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has commended over 20,000 UDA polling station officials in Meru County for their efforts in backing the ruling party at the grassroots level. Speaking at Kinoru Stadium on Friday, Kindiki emphasized the crucial role these officials play as the "bosses" of UDA Party at polling centres, responsible for promoting the party and representing the President.

Kindiki invited the officials to recognize their contributions and provide them with information about the Kenya Kwanza administration's achievements. Highlighting the sacrifices made by the officials, Kindiki challenged rival parties to also have democratic elections at the grassroots level, asserting that UDA was the only party to have conducted such elections.

The Deputy President stressed that the officials would be expected to speak confidently about the Government’s record on various sectors, including roads, agriculture, education, healthcare, and support for young people. Kindiki mentioned several achievements of the Government, such as the reduction in fertiliser prices, construction of classrooms and laboratories, increased enrolment in technical training institutions, and the registration of 32.3 million Kenyans under Taifa Care.

He also announced that Sh1 billion would be allocated to upgrade Meru Level Five Hospital to Level Six, and Sh44 billion would be earmarked for constructing over 500 kilometres of additional tarmac roads. Kindiki urged the opposition to focus on policy discussions rather than slogans and nicknames, warning that the Government would present its record directly to voters.
