Milei argued that the UK was facing multiple crises that could lead to its decline, while Argentina's future was flourishing.

He hinted at tighter sanctions on British oil interests, targeting an offshore oil project led by an Israeli company and a British partner. The interview came after reports suggested the US might reconsider its stance on the Falklands to punish NATO allies who declined to join the Iran war. Despite expectations of a clear endorsement, Milei focused on new decrees, including increased defence ministry resources and the construction of a naval base in Tierra del Fuego.

The UK maintained its long-standing claim to the Falklands, stating that sovereignty belonged to the UK and the islanders' right to self-determination was paramount.
