Isack Hadjar regains Monaco podium after FIA appeal

Red Bull Racing driver Isack Hadjar has reclaimed a podium finish at the Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix after the FIA Court of Appeals overturned penalties imposed by the stewards. Originally, Hadjar finished fourth after McLaren and Red Bull filed appeals related to Pierre Gasly's penalties, which had dropped him from third to seventh.

Gasly had received five-second time penalties for speeding in the pit lane, but these were rescinded following a review, promoting him to third and Hadjar to fourth. Red Bull and McLaren also appealed the original decision, leading to the hearing that resulted in the Court of Appeals' decision on August 25. The FIA stated that they are reviewing the timing system and related regulations, as well as the right of review and other appeal processes.

Alpine expressed disappointment with the ruling, maintaining their stance that Driver #10, Hadjar, did not exceed the pit lane speed limit during the race, but acknowledged the decision of the judging panel. Despite the outcome, Alpine remains focused on improving their performance on track and remaining competitive in the Championship.
