During a recent interview, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim clarified that individuals assisting in investigations do not need to wear SPRM-colored uniforms, as it may create a different perception of them. Addressing this issue at Masjid Bukit Indah in Ampang, Anwar emphasized that individuals assisting should be questioned first before any further actions are taken. He stated, "If asked for investigation, investigate first. If there's a case to be charged, that's up to the investigative authority."

Anwar added that while individuals are willing to assist in investigations, they do not need to wear SPRM-colored uniforms to avoid creating a different perception. He urged investigative agencies such as the Malaysian Corruption Prevention Agency (SPRM), police, and the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (LHDN) to conduct their duties fairly and impartially.

"Evidence, continue. No evidence, release," he concluded. The controversy surrounding SPRM-colored uniforms was previously brought to the Dewan Negara in February, particularly regarding whether individuals who are still under investigation should wear the agency's uniform during remand hearings. The issue of uniform use was said to potentially create a perception of the accused, even if they have not been charged with any wrongdoing.
