IndiGo flight from Navi Mumbai hits guidance pole at Srinagar airport

IndiGo flight 6E 225 from Navi Mumbai to Srinagar collided with a pole while being parked at the airport on Friday. The aircraft sustained damage, but there were no injuries to passengers or crew members. The incident occurred at approximately 0902 Hrs when the plane was being positioned at Bay No. 06 at Srinagar Airport. According to the Airport Authority of India (AAI), the Visual Docking Guidance System (VDGS) pole was struck during the parking process.

All passengers and crew safely disembarked using manual aircraft stairs. The AAI stated that the precise cause of the incident will be investigated and determined following the completion of an inquiry. Airport operations continued as usual, with flights arriving and departing according to schedule.
