I just saw a lawnbot with a mechanical arm that reaches out to hand-trim your edges — and it was mesmerizing

Segway Navimow has introduced the H510 Pro lawnbot, featuring a mechanical arm for trimming lawn edges, at the IFA trade show. The robotic arm can extend up to 7.4cm to reach edges, ensuring zero-gap edge trimming. Segway Navimow's technology, called EdgeSense, coordinates the mower's movements based on the type of edge being trimmed - hard, soft, or irregular.

The main mower and edge trimmer use the same cutting deck, resulting in more consistent and even results. To ensure safety, the lawnbot has a side shield and live-detection protection that shuts off operation if a human or animal approaches, using heat-sensing to detect living creatures. Segway Navimow's Xero-Turn technology allows the lawnbot to twist its wheels, crab-walking around bends without damaging the grass.

With independently powered wheels and rear wheel suspension, the four-wheeled lawnbot maintains precision and maximum contact with the terrain, even on uneven ground.
