Elektronikmesse: IFA öffnet für Publikum - KI und Roboter im Fokus

The electronics exhibition IFA in Berlin has opened its doors to the public. This year, over 1,900 exhibitors will showcase their products at the fair. The exhibition aims to attract younger audiences by focusing on lifestyle offerings, areas popular with internet stars, and wellness and beauty electronics. Key topics this year include advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and humanoid robots.

Digital Minister Karsten Wildberger emphasized that robotics is particularly important for Germany. The combination of hardware with software and AI is seen as a unique aspect of Germany as an industrial nation. Berlin's Financial Senator and CDU top candidate Stefan Evers highlighted that IFA will showcase trends and products that will shape our future lifestyle.

He mentioned technologies that make life easier, conserve resources, and promote more sustainable economic practices. At the opening tour, Wildberger, Evers, Berlin's Financial Senator Franziska Giffey (SPD) and parliamentary state secretary at the Ministry of Research, Silke Launert (CSU), were among the attendees. They were presented with a camera-equipped dishwasher that selects the appropriate program, as well as a pizza baked in an oven designed to improve through regular software updates.

Two booths showcased innovations in smart glasses, and two robots were also presented. The fair continues until Tuesday, with daily opening hours from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Organizers hope that, like last year, around 220,000 visitors will attend the exhibition.
