Former Deputy CEO of SIF declares Nandom NPP bid, pledges to rebuild party unity

Alois K. K. Mohl, the former Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Social Investment Fund (SIF), announced his intention to run in the NPP parliamentary primary for the Nandom constituency. At a meeting in Nandom, he explained that his decision was made to help restore unity within the party and to secure the parliamentary seat for the NPP.

Mohl pointed out the internal divisions that led to the NPP losing the Nandom seat to the NDC and emphasized the need for reconciliation to regain the seat. He asserted that the party must first come together if they want to win back the Nandom constituency. Mohl stated that the party leader needs someone who has sacrificed their self-interest for the greater good of the party.

He dismissed the idea that campaign finance should be the primary motivator for voters and assured delegates that his campaign would provide sustained empowerment rather than temporary benefits. Mohl introduced a policy platform centered on education, health, agriculture, and social welfare. He highlighted a specific welfare package for party officials, including direct cash support for executives hospitalized for over three days and tuition assistance for those facing financial difficulties while attending university.

Additionally, he pledged to establish a Rapid Response Team to address local disputes at polling stations before they escalate during elections. Mohl highlighted his past contributions to the constituency, such as constructing classrooms and an electrical workshop at the Nandom Technical Institute, and his annual festive relief packages to polling station workers since 2019.

Former Headteacher Magnus Innocent Der supported Mohl's candidacy, praising his long history of political mobilization and strong ties to the party's national structures. Mohl urged delegates to focus on loyalty, putting the party first, and possessing the necessary skills to drive the party's development forward.
