Russian forces probing Ukrainian defenses near Vovchansk for about a week
Russian invasion forces have spent about a week trying to probe Ukrainian defenses in the Vovchansk municipality of Kharkiv Oblast, attacking positions held by the Armed Forces of Ukraine and trying to widen their zone of control, but suffering heavy losses in the process, State Border Guard Service spokesman Andrii Demchenko said during Ukraine’s national telethon program on Sept. 4.
