Arsenal to face Barca & Lyon in Women's Champions League

Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City have been drawn against formidable opponents in the Women's Champions League league phase. Arsenal will face holders Barcelona, eight-time winners Lyon, and Danish side HB Koge, whom they previously beat during the 2021-22 season. Arsenal's home matches will be against Lyon, Benfica and HB Koge.

The Gunners will look to reclaim the European title they won in 2025. Chelsea, who were beaten finalists in the 2020-21 season, will travel to Lyon, Paris FC and Inter Milan in the league phase. Chelsea manager Sonia Bompastor will be reunited with Lyon, their former club, when Chelsea face the record Champions League winners in France.

Manchester City, who missed out on European football last season, were placed in a less challenging pot but still face tough matches against Bayern Munich, Paris St-Germain and BK Hacken. The draw was made in Nyon, Switzerland, and the first matchday of the league phase will be played on September 22 and 23, with the final scheduled for the last week of May.
