Arsenal loanee, Ethan Nwaneri, has been included in Borussia Dortmund's senior Champions League squad, a requirement for his eligibility to participate in Europe's top club competition. The 24-player squad, submitted to UEFA, features Nwaneri as a senior player despite being under 21 and his status as a loanee at Arsenal. This placement enables his participation in matches, including the upcoming League Phase fixture against Arsenal on November 24th.

Nwaneri's eligibility stems from his multiple years at Arsenal, allowing him to qualify for their B-list, which typically has no restrictions. However, Dortmund's B-list requires a longer tenure, only achievable for him through inclusion on the senior list. Arsenal's recall clause for Nwaneri in January presents a possibility of his return before the Villa and AEK matches, which Dortmund will host on January 19th and January 27th, respectively.

Nwaneri remains undecided on his position within Dortmund's front four, expressing contentment with any attacking role. "I think any of the four attacking positions suit me," he stated, emphasizing his preference for proximity to the goal and engagement in build-up play.
