Arsenal to face Barca and Lyon in Women's Champions League

Arsenal has been paired with Barcelona and Lyon, the reigning champions, in the early rounds of the Women's Champions League. Chelsea, on the other hand, will visit Lyon while Manchester City faces last season's semi-finalists Bayern Munich. Arsenal's home matches will be against Lyon, Benfica, and HB Koge, who they defeated in both venues during the 2021-22 season.

As for Chelsea, their matches will be held in London against Paris St-Germain, Roma, and Austria Wien, a team making its league phase debut. Despite their previous final appearance in 2020-21, Chelsea's manager, Sonia Bompastor, will be reunited with her former club Lyon when Chelsea plays them in France. Manchester City, who missed out on European football last season, found themselves in pot three of the draw and have managed to avoid the toughest matches.

The fixture list for all 18 clubs will be finalized by UEFA on September 5th. The league phase will kick off on September 22nd and 23rd, with the final set to take place in Warsaw at the end of May.
