Western Railway revises suburban timetable from September 1

Starting September 1, 2026, Western Railway will implement a revised suburban timetable. This update brings six new services, direct connectivity between Dadar and Dahanu Road, and two additional air-conditioned trains. The total number of suburban services remains at 1,414. Six new trains, four in the DOWN direction and two in the UP direction, will run, while six existing services will be discontinued. The count of AC trains on weekdays will rise from 145 to 147, with 116 AC trains operating on weekends.

New UP slow trains include the Bandra-Churchgate service (Train No. 90400), departing at 11:58 and arriving at 12:30, and Virar-Borivali (Train No. 91020), leaving Virar at 23:51 and reaching Borivali at 00:26. Additionally, four new DOWN slow services will launch: Bhayandar-Virar (Train No. 90105) at 07:46, Borivali-Bhayandar (Train No. 90929) at 22:14, Borivali-Virar (Train No. 90943) at 22:51, and Borivali-Bhayandar (Train No. 91017) at 00:28.

Several existing UP and DOWN services will be withdrawn, such as AC Train Nos. 94138 and 90540, Churchgate-Borivali (Train No. 94137), Churchgate-Mumbai Central (Local) (Train No. 90359), Churchgate-Borivali (Train No. 90483), and Churchgate-Mumbai Central (Local) (Train No. 90911).

A notable change is the direct connection between Dadar and Dahanu Road, integrating Train No. 90677 and Train No. 93033 into a through service. The revised Train No. 93033 departs Dadar at 17:22 and arrives at Dahanu Road at 19:30, while Train No. 92046 from Virar to Dadar extends to Churchgate, becoming Train No. 92056, arriving at 09:48. Train No. 92069 Dadar-Virar transforms into Train No. 92083, originating from Churchgate at 09:52 and reaching Nallasopara.

Two non-AC services will become AC: Train No. 90693 (Churchgate-Borivali) will operate as AC Train No. 94105, and Train No. 90758 (Borivali-Churchgate) will serve as AC Train No. 94110. Their routes and timings remain the same. Some services will also see changes in their stopping pattern, like Churchgate-Virar fast trains (AC Train Nos. 94113 and 90791) skipping Borivali and the existing AC Train No. 94029 (Churchgate-Borivali) terminating at Goregaon.

In the return direction, AC Train No. 94040 (Borivali-Churchgate) will originate from Goregaon at 11:39, becoming Train No. 94060 Goregaon-Churchgate AC slow service. Western Railway advises passengers to adjust their travel plans accordingly, taking note of the revised timings, services, and stopping patterns.
