QSC pulls curtain down on inaugural young inventors programme

Doha, Qatar witnessed the conclusion of the inaugural Young Inventors Program hosted by the Qatar Scientific Club (QSC) on a recent day. The program gathered 35 young men and women who had crafted seven groundbreaking projects during its tenure. Programme Director Eng. Aisha Al Jaber announced that upon reaching the final implementation stage, participants were provided with program tools and equipment. The final day of the program was dedicated to teams presenting their projects and prototypes before a judging panel.

Al Jaber explained that the projects underwent stages of creative thinking, design, development, and execution before being assessed against specific criteria. She emphasized that the program's impact transcended the mere seven projects, as it instilled valuable skills and expertise in innovation within the participants. Al Jaber highlighted that the teams excelled in problem-solving and teamwork tasks.

The young inventors transformed their ideas into functional prototypes, and the program director expressed hope that the conclusion of the initiative would mark the beginning of a new journey in innovation and invention for these young individuals. Those who placed third in the competition were offered the chance to exhibit their work at international exhibitions.

The program aimed to engage young people aged 15 to 30, fostering their interest in science, technology, and innovation. The Ministry of Sports and Youth launched the program in February last year in collaboration with institutions from education, research, and entrepreneurship sectors to create a comprehensive environment for the young participants.
