The Nepal Red Cross has also sent out supplies, including blankets, mattresses, tarpaulins, hygiene kits, mosquito nets, and emergency toilets. The floods, caused by flash flooding in Tibet and Nepal, have resulted in over 1,200 deaths and more than 4,200 people still missing, including nine Singaporeans. The Singapore Government has contributed US$100,000 to the campaign, and both civilian and Singapore Armed Forces supplies will be sent to Nepal.
