Fury confirms Joshua fight in USA

Tyson Fury has officially announced his highly anticipated heavyweight clash with Anthony Joshua will take place at the iconic Madison Square Garden in New York City. The development was shared on social media by Fury, who expressed excitement about the prestigious venue and the opportunity. No specific date was provided, but sources suggest the fight is set for November, with November 20 being the anticipated date.

Both Fury and Joshua signed contracts with Turki Alalshikh, chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority. While Joshua originally wanted the fight to happen in the UK, his promoter Eddie Hearn and the fighters' camp have been working to make the bout a reality in America, despite initial opposition from the champion's team.

The decision to move the fight has raised concerns among fans, who questioned the decision to hold the intense British contest outside the United Kingdom. Fury, with his impressive record of winning 36 out of 36 professional bouts, is set to return to the ring after a brief retirement following his defeat to Oleksandr Usyk in 2024.

Joshua, on the other hand, secured a win in his tune-up bout on July 25 against Kristian Prenga. The Fury-Joshua showdown had been postponed multiple times before, with a previous attempt collapsing in 2021 after a US judge ruled that Fury should face Deontay Wilder in a trilogy bout.
