EPL: Paul Scholes names club that’ll no longer win title this season

Former Manchester United midfielder, Paul Scholes, has expressed his belief that Chelsea may not secure the Premier League title this season due to their inability to retain their star player, Enzo Fernandez. Chelsea agreed to sell Fernandez to Manchester City during the transfer deadline day, with the latter completing the £125 million transfer just hours before the window closed.

Despite Fernandez's desire to leave Chelsea earlier this summer, he ended up signing with City, where he will be managed by former Chelsea coach, Enzo Maresca. Scholes, who initially did not have a high regard for Fernandez upon his arrival in England, now considers him a brilliant player and a significant loss for Chelsea. He believes that without Fernandez, Chelsea cannot compete with the defending champions, Arsenal, who they face this weekend.

Scholes suggests that Chelsea's current midfield options, including Malo Gusto and Reece James, are inadequate, and emphasizes that City's influence on Maresca has negatively impacted Chelsea's season.
