Karim Benzema, Paul Pogba and other star-name free agents offered chance with Dubai club Arabian Falcons

Some of the world's most renowned, though contractually free, footballers have been invited to play for Dubai-based Arabian Falcons instead of remaining inactive. The UAE Second Division League club has extended an open invitation to stars such as Karim Benzema, Paul Pogba, and others whose contracts have expired. The club boasts a wealth of experienced personnel.

Jonjo Shelvey, a former Liverpool and Newcastle midfielder with six England caps, serves as their coach. Ravel Morrison, a former Manchester United midfielder, is the team's captain, while Jason Puncheon manages the football operations. The club is extending the offer to out-of-contract players "with no long-term commitment required."

In the invitation, they listed names like Benzema, Pogba, Raheem Sterling, Jadon Sancho, Riyad Mahrez, Philippe Coutinho, Dani Carvajal, and Jamie Vardy. Shelvey stated, "Don't sit on the sidelines; come and show what you've got over in Dubai." "We're building something real out here, and we want more big names alongside us as we do it.

If you've got the quality and you're ready to work, there's a place for you at this club." The club offers the players the choice to "come to Dubai on your own terms," train with the side, play matches, and then leave when the right opportunity arises – with no strings attached and no long-term ties. Puncheon explained, "We've seen Premier League players go months without a club and lose all their sharpness."

"There's no reason for that to happen. Come to Dubai, train with us every single day, get proper minutes, and be ready the second the phone rings." The Falcons began the new league season with a 2-1 victory in their opening match and aspire to climb the UAE league structure. They have also established what they call a "Premier League-standard" academy, and believe they are an attractive destination for out-of-contract players seeking to remain match-ready before returning to top-flight football.

"We can get any free agent playing minutes and back to full condition with proper support around them—medical, conditioning, matchday exposure, all of it," said Harry Agombar, the club's sporting director. "If you're out of contract and want to stay ready, this is the environment to do that in."
