Trump says S. Korea, Japan, others going to Alaska to 'load up' with oil, build pipelines

U.S. President Donald Trump asserted on Wednesday that South Korea, Japan, and other nations are heading to Alaska to acquire oil and construct pipelines, as he promotes the state prior to the November mid-term elections. The remarks were made during a press conference at the White House, focusing on Senator Dan Sullivan, who is contesting for re-election.

Trump remarked, "I definitely know nobody has helped Alaska like Donald Trump. We have invested billions and billions of dollars and created trillions of dollars in value." He further stated, "You have Japan. You have South Korea. You have all of these people now going to Alaska to load up with fuel, load up with oil, build pipelines, everything else.

Dan Sullivan's done a great job." Trump also expressed his intention to visit Alaska to assist Republican candidates. The Trump administration has been striving to collaborate with South Korea, Japan, and other countries in an Alaska liquefied natural gas (LNG) initiative. The project intends to erect a 1,287-kilometer pipeline from the resource-rich North Slope, to southern Alaska, to transport cooled natural gas for shipping to Asia.
