Tiger Woods driver's license suspended for five years after crash

Tiger Woods' driver's license has been suspended for five years following a plea agreement reached in a Florida car crash case. The golfer appeared in court in Stuart, Florida, alongside his girlfriend Vanessa Trump, who is the ex-wife of Donald Trump Jr. Judge Darren Steele informed Woods that any driving activity would result in immediate re-arrest.

Initially, Woods faced a more severe charge of DUI, but that was dropped in favor of lesser charges of careless and reckless driving. Woods had potentially been sentenced to jail time if convicted of the DUI charge. The 15-time major champion was involved in a March 27 rollover accident near his Jupiter Island home, where his SUV struck a truck and flipped.

Despite not consuming alcohol, Woods was found to be impaired, carrying two hydrocodone pills. He refused a urinalysis and was subsequently jailed and released on bond. Woods' suspension will necessitate someone else driving him.
