Sony Expands Its ULT POWER SOUND Collection With Two New Speakers

Sony has recently expanded its ULT POWER SOUND collection in Malaysia with the addition of two new speakers: the ULT TOWER 7 and the ULT TOWER 5. The ULT TOWER MAX, originally planned for the lineup, has not yet been released in the country.

Both speakers boast large circular woofers, large-capacity speaker cabinets, and ULT DUCT technology, which delivers stronger and deeper bass compared to previous models. Additionally, Sony has tuned the speakers to offer clearer vocals.

Both speakers feature multiple connection ports, including XLR, RCA, and USB-C, allowing them to easily connect to modern DJ hardware and karaoke systems with the optional ULTMIC1 microphone. Each speaker also includes a Sony ULT button, providing up to four EQ choices to cater to different preferred sound profiles: ULT1 for a deep base, ULT2 for body-shaking bass, FLAT for a true-to-source listening experience, and LIVE for recreating the sound of an in-person performance.

A notable feature of both speakers is the Party Chain functionality, which enables users to wirelessly link the speakers via Bluetooth Auracast. This feature synchronizes both music and lighting effects with compatible Sony speakers.

The ULT TOWER 7 boasts up to 420W output, 360-degree Party Sound, and a battery life of up to 30 hours of playback. It also features a handle, casters for comfortable transport, and IP4X protection while upright. The ULT TOWER 5, on the other hand, is a smaller version of the ULT TOWER 7, with a maximum output of 300W and up to 20 hours of battery life. It lacks wheels and includes only carrying handles, and has IPX4 protection while upright.
