Mazli Mustaffa appointed Rapid Rail CEO

Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd has appointed Mazli Mustaffa as its new CEO, effective September 1. The company announced that he brings nearly three decades of experience in the rail and engineering sectors, having worked in Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain. Mazli's career includes involvement in numerous major rail projects such as KL Sentral, Rawang-Ipoh double track, Ipoh-Padang Besar double track, Makkah Metro, Kajang Line, Putrajaya Line, and Kuching Urban Transportation System.

Prior to his appointment at Rapid Rail, he served as CEO of Sarawak Metro Sdn Bhd, leading the development of Malaysia's first fully green public transport system. Rapid Rail highlighted that Mazli's expertise in rail infrastructure development, system integration, and operations management will bolster the company's efforts to enhance performance, reliability, safety, and customer experience.

This leadership transition aligns with Rapid Rail's commitment to delivering efficient, safe, and sustainable public transport services that cater to the evolving mobility needs of the public. Moreover, the company's statement indicated that Mazli's skills will also aid Prasarana Malaysia Bhd in increasing public transport ridership and fostering more sustainable urban mobility.
