Fortnite Announces Crossover With Andrew Garfield Historical Drama The Uprising

Fortnite has announced an exciting crossover collaboration with Focus Features and Andrew Garfield's historical drama film, The Uprising, set to release theatrically on September 10. Players can now experience a custom 5v5 payload-escort game mode, inspired by the events and visual landscape of the film, starting from its Fortnite debut.

Set in 1380s England, The Uprising is a period drama centered around the Peasants' Revolt of 1381, led by historical figures such as Wat Tyler and John Ball. The film, directed by Paul Greengrass, follows the story of Ploughman, a character portrayed by Andrew Garfield, who represents the common peasant pushed by hardship into armed rebellion against the crown.

The Fortnite experience, developed by Sawhorse Productions and published by Genesis Studios, allows players to immerse themselves in the heart of the legendary uprising. In the custom multiplayer battle, players choose sides as either Rebels or Kingsmen, navigating through four escalating map phases, from muddy farmland to the city walls of London.

Rebel forces must strategically push a battering-ram through the stages, while Kingsmen work to stop their advance.
