ChargeSini slashes EV charging fees, but some sites are still charging more

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 2 — ChargeSini has cut the charging fees for its DC chargers throughout Malaysia, allowing EV owners to pay as little as RM1.19 per kWh nationwide. This new rate applies to DC chargers at condominiums and public chargers with speeds of 40kW or less. For public DC chargers with speeds between 60kW and 80kW, the fee is now fixed at RM1.29 per kWh.

However, some ChargeSini charging sites are still charging more than the new rates. For instance, Pinnacle Sri Petaling Mall KL charges RM1.57 per kWh, Mydin Bukit Mertajam Penang charges RM1.47 per kWh, and Seventeen Mall PJ charges RM1.37 per kWh. This inconsistency in pricing has led to suggestions that EV owners check the updated rates on the ChargeSini app before using any charging point to avoid unexpected charges.
