Bank of America vice president killed in Manhattan stabbing

On Monday, a Bank of America vice president was fatally stabbed in Times Square, New York City. Erin Piacenti, 68, succumbed to her injuries at the hospital. Pamela Cisneros, 49, the suspect, initiated the attack by approaching a 68-year-old Rhode Island tourist near West 41st Street and Seventh Avenue with two knives. She then proceeded to stab Piacenti in the abdomen near 42nd Street, around 20 seconds after the first attack.

Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch revealed that Cisneros had no prior arrest history, although there were two previous encounters involving mental illness in 2018 and 2019. Despite officers using Tasers, Cisneros continued to advance toward them, leading to officers opening fire, ultimately resulting in her death. Bank of America expressed their shock and deep sorrow over the loss of their valued colleague, emphasizing that she will be deeply missed by all.
