1 lagi suspek ditahan kes warga emas maut disamun di Teluk Intan

A 26-year-old man has been arrested in Klang, Selangor, on August 26 for his alleged involvement in a murder case in Teluk Intan. The incident occurred on April 17, 2021, when a wealthy man died after being assaulted with a sharp object, believed to be a knife, in a residence in Pekan Baru, Teluk Intan. The Chief of Police for Perak, Chua Kok Lian, revealed that the arrest was part of ongoing efforts to apprehend and bring suspects to justice.

Four accomplices were charged in court on May 7, 2021, under Sections 302 and 34 of the Penal Code for the murder of a 69-year-old wealthy man. Further investigation led to the inclusion of a fifth suspect, who will appear before the Magistrate Court in Teluk Intan on September 2 to face the charges. Chua emphasized that the police will continue to intensify efforts to apprehend any individuals involved in criminal activities, urging the public to provide any relevant information to aid in maintaining public safety and security, particularly in the Perak Hilir region.

On April 17, 2021, the media reported that a wealthy man died after being attacked with a sharp object, believed to be a knife, in a house in Pekan Baru, Teluk Intan. The victim suffered injuries to his right hand and left palm before succumbing to his injuries at the scene.
