Zelensky vows not to launch strikes during meetings in Moscow

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has warned airlines that Russian airspace is becoming increasingly unsafe due to a surge in Ukrainian drone attacks. In an evening video address, Zelensky stated, "Russian airspace is becoming completely unsafe" and that "Ukrainian drone attacks mean Russian airspace will effectively be closing."

He emphasized that while Ukraine does not threaten civilian aviation, the high number of drone attacks has made it unsafe for commercial flights. Zelensky called on airlines to cease operations into key Russian airports such as Moscow and St. Petersburg, stating that the "safe days in Russia's skies are over." He urged ambassadors of affected countries and those in Moscow to convey this information to their home governments.

Zelensky also mentioned that the Ukrainian government is providing detailed information about the dangers in Russian airspace to international organizations. The President ordered Ukrainian troops to launch 1,000 drones a day in support of the ongoing war against Russia.
