Yankees call out Red Sox radio voice for suggesting beaning for late stolen bases

New York Yankees are criticizing Boston Red Sox radio voice Will Flemming for his remarks during a recent series between the two rival teams. Flemming, a WEEI radio announcer, made controversial comments about Yankees second baseman Jazz Chisholm after the latter stole two bases with the Yankees leading 7-1 in the eighth inning of Sunday's series finale.

Chisholm and his teammates accused Flemming of using inappropriate language and suggesting that the Red Sox pitcher Jovani Moran should retaliate against the Yankees' catcher Austin Wells by intentionally beaning him. Chisholm and his teammates emphasized that they did not initiate any aggressive actions and that Flemming's comments were unprofessional.

Flemming later apologized on social media for his comments, stating that he meant no disrespect and that his emotions during the broadcast led him to use inappropriate language.
