The lineup had been struggling for over a month, but their ability to capitalize on the Yankees' mistakes demonstrated their potential for improvement. Vaughn Grissom led the charge with a 3-for-5 performance and four RBIs, highlighting the team's ability to utilize each hitter effectively without relying on home runs.
