Two phone numbers, a death threat to Chirag Paswan: ‘You will be killed shortly’

Union Minister Chirag Paswan, a member of the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), has received a death threat via a postcard, prompting his office to request a thorough investigation and a reassessment of his security measures. Alok Kumar Singh, Paswan's Additional Private Secretary, has written to the Union Home Secretary, urging authorities to investigate the origin and authenticity of the threat and determine whether Paswan's security needs to be enhanced.

As a Z-category protectee, Paswan's security is currently overseen by the Ministry of Home Affairs. The threatening letter contained two mobile numbers and stated, "You will soon be killed by radical terrorists." Paswan's office has requested a detailed investigation into the threat's source and circumstances, as well as a review of his existing security arrangements, given his upcoming public engagements.

The Lok Janshakti Party emphasized the gravity of the situation, demanded identification of the threat's source, and called for strict legal action against those responsible, while also highlighting the necessity of maintaining Paswan's security integrity.
