Russian forces capture two more towns in Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia region

Russian forces have captured two additional towns in Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia region, following fierce combat, according to the country's defense ministry. The towns of Novopavlivka and Chervonaya Krinitsa are now under Russian control, marking significant gains on all fronts. The ministry reported that Russia's Eastern Group of Forces penetrated deep into enemy defenses, liberating Chervonaya Krinitsa.

This advance was achieved through the use of air power, attack drones, missile troops, and artillery, which targeted logistics centers, energy facilities, and transport infrastructure used by Ukrainian forces. Russian air defense systems managed to neutralize 13 guided bombs, one HIMARS missile, and 1,050 Ukrainian drones in the past 24 hours.

The ministry also noted that units from the Central Group of Forces improved their tactical positions, resulting in over 365 Ukrainian casualties. The Eastern Group of Forces continued its offensive, causing more than 295 Ukrainian casualties as it advanced into Ukrainian defenses.
