Raphinha and Lamine doubles lift Barcelona past Rayo Vallecano

Barcelona secured a 5-2 victory over Rayo Vallecano at the Camp Nou on Monday, bolstering their flawless start to the season and pushing them to the summit of the LaLiga table. The match commenced with Vallecano's Alvaro Garcia giving his side the lead in the 12th minute through a pass to Sergio Camello, who managed to score past Barcelona's goalkeeper Joan Garcia.

Barcelona managed to level the score in the 19th minute when Raphinha converted a quick pass from Xavi Espart, shrewdly maneuvering into the box to slot the ball into the net. Two minutes later, Lamine Yamal extended Barcelona's advantage with a remarkable left-footed strike from just inside the box, which became his 50th goal for the Catalan club.

Arsenal's Saka missed a potential third goal when he pounced on a spill by Vallecano goalkeeper Daniel Cardenas, but the referee deemed the goal offside after a VAR review. Barcelona took a two-goal lead shortly after the break, courtesy of Anthony Gordon's cross bouncing off Vallecano defender Florian Lejeune and finding the back of the net in the 51st minute.

The Brazilian again played up front, slicing it past Cardenas for his fifth league goal in three matches.

Vallecano had another chance to reduce the gap in the 82nd minute, but Randy Nteka's left-footed shot from the center of the box was saved by Barcelona's goalkeeper Joan Garcia. The Brazilian striker sealed the win in the 90th minute when Karim Adeyemi played a short pass to Lamine, who dispatched a low strike past a diving Cardenas.

Barcelona took the top spot in the table with nine points, just ahead of Real Madrid, who also have nine points but are positioned higher due to superior goal difference. Vallecano, meanwhile, finds themselves in 18th place with no wins and one point after three matches.
