Ireland to allocate €10 million to modernize Ukrainian military training centers

NATO commander Brigadier Atle Molde has warned that current training manuals for Ukrainian troops fighting Russia are too outdated to adequately prepare them for the rapidly evolving battlefield. Molde, the commander of Task Force Legio, stated that the annual training cycles are simply too slow to keep up with the swift changes in tactics and weaponry on the front lines.

As the situation on the ground becomes increasingly fluid, with weapons and tactics becoming obsolete at breakneck speeds, Molde emphasized that the training must adapt accordingly. The only way to ensure relevance and effectiveness is to incorporate Ukrainian battlefield experience and feedback into the training process. This means making adjustments on a daily basis, rather than relying on annual updates.

With millions of lives at stake, NATO cannot afford to let the training fall behind the rapidly shifting realities of the conflict.
