Externed Criminals Defy Orders In Bhopal; 32 Violations Reported Since January

In Bhopal, a district where several habitual criminals have been externed, 32 violations of their externment orders have been reported since January. Despite being ordered to leave the district, these offenders continue to reside in Bhopal, evading law enforcement through various means. Police officials have reported that these criminals alter their appearance or hide at different locations, making secret visits to their homes.

In some cases, externed criminals have even engaged in criminal activities while residing in the city.

One notable incident involved Jitu Yadav, who had been externed from Kolar police station. He opened fire in Kajlikheda, an act that captured the attention of the public due to the subsequent viral video on social media. Following this, police commissioner attached Kajlikheda police station in-charge Pallavi Pandey and a sub-inspector to the police lines for negligence in handling the case.

Another incident occurred in Koh-e-Fiza in May, where Yaseen Malik, son of the late gangster Mukhtar Malik, attacked individuals and damaged vehicles at an apartment while under an externment order. Initial police response was deemed inadequate, leading to the arrest of Malik and the subsequent suspension of the Koh-e-Fiza station in-charge for negligence.

Zuber Maulana and his associates are also cited in recent reports for spreading panic through gunfire in the Mangalwara and Tila Jamalpura areas. Zuber, an externed criminal, disguised himself by altering his appearance, using long hair at times and shaving his head and beard later. Similarly, other externed criminals have been involved in criminal activities while residing in Bhopal.

Police authorities have registered cases in all 32 instances of externment order violations since January and are actively pursuing measures to trace and apprehend these criminals. Recent arrests include two externed criminals, Shamim Khan alias Faqeer and Sabir alias Sabbi, who were living secretly in the city after changing their appearances. Additionally, notorious criminal Sohail alias Bachha, who was also externed, was detained at a dhaba. Earlier this year, Gandhinagar police apprehended Sohail around two months ago.
